Unboxing: OwlCrate’s September 2018 Box ‘Masters of Disguise’

All I ever do is take photos of my subscription boxes.

Today I’m unboxing OwlCrate’s September box!

The theme is ‘Masters of Disguise’. These are the inserts that come with every box~ a mini zine and a pamphlet detailing the box’s ccontents.

The first item is an art print of character Lila Bard from the Shades of Magic series! (Illustrated by Kirsty Carter)

The second item that took up most of the box 😂 An exclusive Prisoner of Azkaban ceramic mug by Cara Kozik! I believe OwlCrate is doing a series of these mugs and they’ll only be available in boxes.

Other side of the mug~

A package of foaming bath salts inspired by The Diabolic and created by Leeloo Soaps. These look so fun. I can’t wait to use them!

This ‘The Kiss of Deception’ balm from Geekfire Labs was the next item. It’s apple mint!

Probably my favourite item! These fingerless gloves, inspired by Six of Crows, were created exclusively by OwlCrate.

A little freebie & promo for an upcoming book (which sounds interesting).

And this month’s book! Mirage by Somaiya Daud.

In a star system dominated by the brutal Vathek empire, eighteen-year-old Amani is a dreamer. She dreams of what life was like before the occupation; she dreams of writing poetry like the old-world poems she adores; she dreams of receiving a sign from Dihya that one day, she, too, will have adventure, and travel beyond her isolated moon.

But when adventure comes for Amani, it is not what she expects: she is kidnapped by the regime and taken in secret to the royal palace, where she discovers that she is nearly identical to the cruel half-Vathek Princess Maram. The princess is so hated by her conquered people that she requires a body double, someone to appear in public as Maram, ready to die in her place.

As Amani is forced into her new role, she can’t help but enjoy the palace’s beauty—and her time with the princess’ fiancé, Idris. But the glitter of the royal court belies a world of violence and fear. If Amani ever wishes to see her family again, she must play the princess to perfection…because one wrong move could lead to her death.’

I’m so in love with every item from this month’s box!

xo!
